There is a new Paranormal group investigating Supernatural stuff that has formed in Western KY. The contact leaders for the group are located in Mayfield, KY, but they are going to be having meetings in various places in West KY. Haunted Asbury Cemetary in Murray, KY

Most people know of Murray, KY from the huge college there. Murray State University is known far and wide. Few people have ever heard of Asbury Cemetary though, much less the hauntings.

There have been all kinds of reports of entities that oversee this cemetery. One person reports seeing this entity on the porch of an abandoned house located near the cemetery. This person reports that the apparition was speaking in a strange language, maybe Latin. They reported going back several times and seeing the entity each time.

Another story involves a group of experienced paranormal researchers. They investigated the cemetary and were chased clear out of it by a dark apparition.

Asbury Cemetary is not open to the public. You have to have permission to visit it. The best contact information I could find for the cemetary is the following:

I recently heard a really interesting story about the Amish. Amish families will not make any dolls with a head. They are afraid that adding a face will turn the doll into a graven image. Who's to say they aren't right?

There are several Bible verses about graven images and having idols. I've been reading a lot on this subject, and what I've learned has made me double think even having angel figurines on my shelves.

I don't know if I have mentioned before, but I am non-denominational. I did grow up Baptist, but as an adult I didn't feel it was right for me. As a Christian, I base my beliefs off what the Bible says. Not human doctrines.

There are some denominations that encourage praying to others besides God. The Bible is very clear on who we need to pray to. We shouldn't be praying to Mary or anyone else. We also shouldn't be going to church and praying to a replica of Jesus. I can see how that would be a form of idolatry.

It used to be that when I saw an image of Jesus on the wall, I would feel comforted. The truth is we don't really know what Jesus looked like. We shouldn't be praying to that image or because of that image.

Through research, I've learned that several things that most of us wouldn't consider a graven image could be. For example, supposedly the ducks found on a lot of kitchen items represents some God in Egyptian history.

There are a ton of websites that deal with this issue. I would recommend a Google search and a lot of reading.

When you are dealing with some items, you also have to worry that you are inviting evil in your home.

Have you recently got or received a questionable item, and you've been experiencing problems in your life? Marital problems, depression, or just really bad nightmares? If so, it's time to pray and get rid of that item.

I've read countless stories of a similar situation. Sometimes just burning the item while saying a prayer to cast out the evil is sufficient. Other times, you will need to burn the item and get your house anointed with oil and prayer by a religious leader.

Your pastor should be able to help you with this. If he can't, it's time to check out a different church. Spiritual Warfare is real, and it's happening to you right now. You need to be in a church that believes it's happening and teaches what to do about it.

Ephesians 6:10-12 declares, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” This text teaches some crucial truths: we can only be strong in the Lord’s power, it is God’s armor that protects us, and our battle is against spiritual forces of evil in the world.

Bobby Mackey's Haunted Honkey Tonk In KY

A lot of people don't think of paranormal when they think of Kentucky. Then they just get a big ole' surprise.

Kentucky has several places that are considered haunted. Bobby Mackey's is one of the best known. It's located in Northern KY, 8 to 10 miles from Cincinnati, Ohio. The site used to be a slaughterhouse in the early 1800's. The property is situated right next to a railroad. In the old days, this wasn't always the best place to be. Back then, a lot of crime would occur in areas by railroads. In this case, the legend says that the murder of Pearl Bryan occurred at that exact same area.

After being a slaughterhouse, the original building was torn down. Eventually someone rebuilt and opened up a roadhouse. As time went on, the business changed hands and became other businesses. As the legend goes, Pearl Bryan was pregnant. The father was contacted and wrote to Pearl, telling her to come to the Fort Thomas area. Two days later, her body was found decapitated behind what is now the YMCA.

Pearl Bryan's head was never found. It is rumored that the old abandoned slaughterhouse was being used for Satanic rituals during that time. Scott Jackson, Pearl's boyfriend and the father of her child, was said to participate in these rituals. Many believe that her head was thrown into the well located at the slaughterhouse.

Scott Jackson and another man were arrested and eventually hung. Both men chose hanging over revealing the location of the head. Legend says that they were scared of inciting the wrath of Satan by revealing where the head was located.

Bobby Mackey made an appearance on Jerry Springer on 12-13-1991. The Jerry Springer segments are below. They must have been guests before Jerry got REALLY weird. He looks pretty young in these clips. I'm not sure which is scarier, these clips or Jerry Springer's future shows and guests. But I diverse.

This is just a small sampling of the many paranormal events happening at Bobby Mackey's. People have been thrown, voices heard, ceiling falling, spirits seen, and more. The land that Bobby Mackey's sits on has quite a history and story to tell. As the years passed and different businesses moved in, it's reported that several other murders happened in that exact location (see I told you businesses by the railroad tracks is NOT a good idea). Many believe that Bobby Mackey's is now a gateway to Hell.

If you'd like to see these events for yourself, Bobby Mackey's is open Friday and Saturday nights. Fridays are free until 10 pm. As for me, I think I'll just stay where it's nice and safe.

Winchester Mystery House - San Jose, CA

Recently I came across information about the Winchester Mystery House, and I am enthralled!

It's reported to be a haunted house in San Jose, CA. Originally an 8 room unfinished farmhouse, it was purchased by Sarah Winchester in 1884. She was a very rich widow, and by the time she was done building, the house was reported to have 160 rooms. She had a staff of about 13 carpenters that worked around the clock building and rebuilding rooms. It's said to actually have about 500 rooms, but due to the rebuilding it now has at least 160. It's hard to say due to the fact that people get lost while counting.

When I first started reading about this house, I immediately though of Stephen King's Rose Red. Digging on the internet I did discover that during an interview, Stephen King admitted that the Winchester Mystery House was his inspiration for the story. He had actually wanted the movie Rose Red filmed at this location, but it was unavailable. Although the Winchester House is beautiful to look at, it's still creepy.

Anyhow Sarah Winchester was heiress to the Winchester Rifle millions. I have to believe that she must have snapped mentally after losing her child, then later her husband. She visited a psychic and was told that the spirits wanted revenge for their deaths from the Rifles that her husband's company had made. She was to go west and find a place to start building. As long as she continued building, she would live forever and the spirits would be appeased.

I can only imagine that a deeply grieved person that was not in their right mind would believe something like this. Sarah Winchester took it to heart though and immediately set her plans in action. She continued overseeing the building until her death.

It has been said that there are lost rooms in the Winchester House. For example, Sarah had an extensive wine cellar. One day it was discovered that half a handprint was on the wall in the cellar. Convinced it was an evil spirit, Sarah had the cellar closed off. The location has not been discovered since.

Sarah had many oddities. The house inside had doors that opened to 3 story drop offs. There were also doors that opened to walls and stairs that lead to the ceiling. She never slept in the same room twice. By sleeping in different rooms, she believed that she could trick the spirits.

True Blood Season 3 It Hurts Me Too

Wow, I've really been neglecting my blog lately haven't I?

I just realized today that I haven't posted anything about True Blood Season 3. Here's my thoughts about the new season.

So far it has been a wild ride. We are into the third show of season 3, and I like this season so much better than I did season 2.

I really like the guy that they cast as Alcide. I found out through Google that his name is Joe Manganiello. I have to say I never thought much of the Alcide in the books by Charlaine Harris, but this cutie may make me change my mind. Not to mention, he's got a great voice. Whoa, Momma!

I don't think Joe Manganiello was a big name before True Blood, but by the time Season 3 is done he's going to be hot!

Natasha Alam that plays both Eric and Pam's sex toy is GORGEOUS! Pam looks great too. I saw some pictures of Kristin Bauer (Pam) in real life, and she is just as gorgeous without all the glam that they put on her in True Blood. I really would like to have some Pam Hair.

I was really disappointed to see Lorena (Bill's Maker) return for another season. I don't like her character at all, and I think she's really boorish. And now after the episode "It Hurts Me Too", I'm assuming that Bill has actually cheated on Sookie, although it was a little hard to tell with all the head twisting going on. If that's Bills regular bedroom habits, it would take a vamp to survive going into bed with him. All's fair in love and war, so I would say now Sookie would be fully justified in hooking up with Eric, which is what half of America is hoping will happen anyhow.

So what's your thoughts on the season 3 of True Blood? It's said that 6.4 million people tuned in for the Season 3 premier.

Psychics Are Real

There are many people out there that turn to psychics. Some of them are wanting to know their future mates, while others wonder if they will ever be rich. Many of them doubt the validity of the psychic, despite paying the money to visit with them.

The Bible makes many references to fortune tellers and psychics. The most important point to remember though is that this knowledge doesn't come from God.

Acts 16: 16 - 28 talks about a girl that was a slave. She was also a fortune teller and made a big profit for her owners. This girl was demon possessed though and once the demon was cast out, she could no longer tell the future.

Whether this means that any accurate psychic is demon possessed or just that their talent comes from an evil spirit is not for me to say. I do believe though that nobody is just born with that talent. It has to come from either God or Satan. It has to be for good or for evil.

In the Bible it also talks about visions of the future, especially in Revelations. This vision come from God.

One point to ponder is that in the day of Jesus, he cast many, many demons out of people. I'm sure that demon possession didn't just stop upon his death. It's still out there to this day.

It's my guess that back in those times, druids were very common. I also believe that fortune tellers were very common as well. For it to be mentioned time and time again, I have to believe that this is something that God takes very seriously.

Do any of you remember when John Edwards used to air quite frequently on tv? It never failed to amaze me to see so many people in his audience. I bet if you were to ask half those people if they believed in God, they would say no. So do they just think that the power to see the future or talk to someone that is dead is just born in someone?

To me that sounds rather ridiculous. I believe it would take a higher power to speak to someone dead. If that person is really making contact. I have to wonder though how many people would still seek a psychic if they knew that the psychic was speaking to a demon from hell. And how could these same people not believe that there is a God?

Believing in God as I do, I have to say that I believe there are things out there that we can't see. Things that would probably scare us to death. I think that God puts some kind of blinders on our eyes so we can't see those things. If we could, we'd always be in a state of fear.

People visit psychics to see what's going to happen in this life. This life shouldn't be the one to concern us as it will take care of itself. We should be worried about the next life, the one where we will spend an eternity. No psychic can tell us that.

Dragon Con 2010

Dragon Con is an awesome convention held every year on Labor Day weekend. I haven't been yet, but I'd love to hear info from people that have went.

I've been reading up on Dragon Con, and it looks like Jonathan Frakes and other cast members from Star Trek The Next Generation seem to attend yearly. I LOVE Star Trek, TNG and I think they need to bring it back!

Apparently at Dragon Con the convention centers around Sci Fi, Comics, and even Vampires. It looks like Kellen Lutz and Ashley Greene will be at the 2010 convention (from The Twilight Saga). It sounds so awesome!

So I'd love to get a lot more information about Dragon Con from people that have went there and attended. I love to know more about the events and any tips and hints that others would find useful. It looks like the hotels are already booked directly where the convention is held. Give the people some insider secrets!!!!

Dead in the Family - Book 10 - Sookie Stackhouse

Although the 10th book in the Sookie Stackhouse series isn't due out until May 2010, I check out the author's (Charlaine Harris) website periodically hoping to get news on it. I was thrilled to see recently that chapter 1 of Dead in the Family was available for fans to read. To read it yourself, you can find it here on her website.

It seems like this book will be in a different tone than the rest of them. Of course, I have only read the first chapter, but it starts out differently. Reading between the lines, it makes me wonder if there is going to be trouble with Sookie and Eric. Maybe they aren't going to end up together in the end?

I hope that Charlaine continues to be true to herself and write the books in the way that she wants them. I would hate to see them changed in an attempt to go along with True Blood. Don't get me wrong, I love True Blood. I do think that True Blood ought to follow the books a bit more. Charlaine hit the nail on the head with her series, and I don't think True Blood could go wrong by recreating what she wrote. If anything True Blood should follow her lead.

It's so hard to wait a year for the new book and the new season of True Blood.

The Twilight Saga; Eclipse

Now that I've went to the theater and seen New Moon, there are two things I am looking forward to in regards to "The Twilight Saga." They are; 1. The dvd release of New Moon. 2. The release of the movie, "Eclipse!"

Eclipse will be the third movie in "The Twilight Saga." As most of you probably know, each of the movies in this series will have a different director. I really think this is an intriguing idea, and adds to the series. Each director has their own ideas and input that adds to it overall.

David Slade will be the director of Eclipse. He was the director of "30 Days of Night", and I thought that was a great movie. So I'm looking forward to seeing how he handles directing Eclipse, and where he's going to take the movie.

It looks like Eclipse will be releasing at the movie theater on June 30, 2010. I think if there are going to be a series of movies that it's a good idea to release them as close together as possible. I know it's tough on the actors, etc, but to keep the interest going, you have to release as often as possible.

If you've been reading my blog, you know that True Blood is my fav show. At least it is for now. It's getting a little harder to say that though when they are only releasing 12 episodes a year. If I had a complaint about the show, that would be it.

I understand it takes time to get a show together etc, but does it take a year for 12 episodes?

I was talking to someone today, and I was surprised when they brought up that they are starting to lose interest in True Blood because it's such a long wait between seasons. I thought it interesting because I had the same thought. I hope that the crew of True Blood does something about this before to many people lose interest and they end up having to end the show.

Anyhow, the New Moon dvd release date is currently set to somewhere around March 24, 2010. This is not official though, and a lot will depend on when the movie will leave theaters. It was about 4 months between the movie theater release of Twilight and the dvd release. I anticipate this will be about the same. The Twilight Saga is hot though, so who knows? As soon as I hear of an official one set, I will post it here!

My Thoughts on Twilight's New Moon

So I went tonight and saw the movie, "New Moon".

It was amazing how packed it was. I had actually purchased our movie tickets online earlier this week. When we got there, I saw a huge line. Turns out the line was for the next showing of New Moon, which was almost two hours later. We ended up setting in the second row of the very front of the theater.

This movie was and wasn't what I expected. I could definitely tell that the movie had different directors. I think in some ways this added to the movie and in some ways it didn't. In the first Twilight movie, it seemed like there was more focus on the romance. With the new director, it seemed like there was more focus on the action.

One thing I did like about this movie was that there was more color. It seemed like the Twilight movie always had some overcast, like a blue or gray color. This movie was bright and vibrant. It did go along with the book as expected.

The ending was very abrupt. I won't spoil it for you if you haven't seen it.

One thing that puzzled me in the books and the movie. How is it that Bella is seeing/hearing Edward when she wants to do something reckless. Did you it ever quite explain this? Did she and Edward have some kind of communication thing going or was it all in her head?

I really liked the movie, and I can't wait for it to come out on dvd. My only complaint is that it was over to fast!

Edward really isn't in this movie a lot. If you don't count Bella's ghost image of him. Jacob moves front and center with this one.

I did see a preview for the movie Daybreakers. I hadn't heard about this movie before tonight. It looks awesome, and it's a movie I will want to see!

World's Biggest Slug?

Late one night, I came across this crawling across the top of my wall near the ceiling above the washing machine. Gross! I wonder if this big boy comes close to the world record for slugs. He was a huge one! So now I have an unexplained mystery...... How did this gigantic slug get in? It's a mystery that may never be solved.

Ok vampire lovers...... Time to "fess" up! How many of you can't wait to watch New Moon?

New Moon will release in theaters on November 20, 2009. I'm positive that I will not be attempting to approach the mob that will be at the theaters on the weekend it releases, but I'm sure I will be going to watch it sometime! I'm really looking forward to it.

It's really amazing, but I never thought that the Twilight series would be my type of series. Sure I love anything vamp, but these centered around high school. And I haven't been in high school for quite a long time.

In the end though, when the Twilight dvd released, I broke down and purchased it. Obviously I loved it, and you now have the story of how I fell in love with Twilight.

Alan Ball has been giving out some juicy tidbits regarding season 3 (like I needed to anticipate it anymore) of True Blood. One of my favorites...... Alexander Skarsgard (Eric the Northman) is gonna be giving us a lot more nudity...... Right from the first episode of Season 3!

I've read all of the books written by Charlaine Harris (a billion times), and I couldn't think of any actor that would be better suited for the role of Eric. That man has got it going on like nobody's business. For those of you that love True Blood but are clueless as to how it started, I'd really recommend reading the Southern Vampire series. These are the books that True Blood is based on.

Alan Ball states that Alexander Skarsgard is comfortable with the idea of having more nude scenes for Season 3..... Well guess what? So is the majority of American women that watch True Blood lol. I mean COME ON, this man has been voted “Sexiest Man Alive” in Sweden five times. Can't wait!

In other True Blood news, it doesn't look like Snoop Dog is going to be a vampire lol. He's stated many, many times that he would love to be a vamp on True Blood. I guess his discrete "hints" finally reached Alan Ball, but it doesn't look like it's going to go anywhere.

Bad Moon Rising by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I just got finished reading Sherrilyn Kenyon's newest release, Bad Moon Rising.

For you Dark Hunter fans, you probably know already that this is the story of Fang and Aimee. And yes, it's just as awesome as you probably expected it to be.

Sherrilyn has been leading up to this book for awhile. We've been getting a taste here and there of their building relationship. With Bad Moon Rising, you get the whole tale from the very beginning. It does have a sad ending with the death of two characters that I wasn't expecting, but I don't want to give anything away.

I truly love her books. I think they are imaginative, creative, and believable. Who could ask for more in a paranormal romance? I love the character Acheron, and I love how he makes an appearance in all the books.

Superstitions about the Moon

One summer night, not to long ago, I was driving home about midnight. We live in a rural area, and the cars were few and far between. The moon was full and had a hazy look to it. Not to mention, it was a very foggy night.

Looking across the fields that were lined with forests and fogs, I could almost see why there are so many superstitions about the moon. Imagine seeing a moon like that in a place without any type of artificial light.

Centuries ago, people were VERY superstitious. They didn't have the modern technology that we do today to disprove a lot of the myths. Nighttime was a very scary time to them.

Even today there are a lot of superstitions regarding the moon. Some of them, like the fact that women give birth more often during a full moon, are well-known and accepted as fact. Others though are not.

The following are a few superstitions regarding the moon;
- If you sleep with the moon shining on your face, you will die within a year.
- Looking at the moon through glass will give you bad luck.
- If you see a red moon, it means imminent war.
- If lovers cross the moon line together, they will never marry.

If you have ever looked at a Farmer's Almanac, you will see that many believe planting their crops based on the moon phases determines what time of yield they will get.

That still really doesn't explain why or how the myth regarding full moons and werewolves started.

It is my belief that this started due to the lack of technology. Back in those days without electricity, most people were probably not out much after dark. Even if they looked out, visibility would have been limited. So they wouldn't have seen animals as much as they would during a full moon. On a full moon though, they would have been able to see a bit better. Probably on those nights, more wolves were seen because it would have been more illuminated.

With people being so superstitious, this probably caught on like wildfire.

I'd be the first to say that the moon can make things look really creepy. I do believe that there is some type of energy to it too. We've all heard the saying, "It must be a full moon." It seems like people are "wilder" during a full moon.

Although I can't say that I'm a Lady GaGa fan, I have to say she showed a lot of smarts by putting Alexander Skarsgard in her video. He's perfect for the sultry, sexy (blushing) roles.

If you watch True Blood, then you already know he makes an awesome vampire. I love his seriousness and intensity in the show, not to mention his deep voice. I think he's a great actor, with a lot of potential. I can't say that after True Blood though, I could ever see him in a comedy.

Monster Catfish in Kentucky Lake?

When people talk about Kentucky Lake, more often than not it is associated with fishing. It's huge. At maximum normal operating level, Kentucky Lake covers 160,300 acres. Daily you can drive over the dam and see numerous boats on the lake with people fishing on the shoreline. I'm sure most of them are looking to catch some big fish. The bigger the better.

But how big is to big though?

Years ago a story circulated in this area about a monster fish in the lake. According to the story, there were some people that went scuba diving in Kentucky Lake. One of the divers got down to the bottom, and felt some kind of movement that made him look down below him. As he started looking closer, he realized that he was standing on something unbelievable. He was standing on a a catfish so large that his feet were only on the eyeball itself. Needless to say, that man didn't stay in the water for long.

So over the years there have been different reports of sightings of a large fish in the water.

It makes you wonder if something like this would be possible. The above is a picture of the world's largest known fish. As you can see it takes several people to hold it up and weighs 646 pounds. To read the full article, click here. I'd hate to be swimming with one of these near me!

True Blood - Season 3

Good news! It looks like True Blood has been signed on for a Season 3! The hardest part is only going to be the wait. There hasn't been a whole lot of info released yet regarding Season 3, but when I hear about it I will share it here.

Season 2 has really veered from the books. My favorite Sookie Stackhouse book is Dead to the World. It will be interesting to see how True Blood plays that book out. If they get a season 4, which I hope they do.

Here's a sneak peak for the rest of Season 2. I thought that Season 2 got a slow start, but it just keeps getting better and better. Sookie's role seemed a little silly in the first few episodes, but that could have just been due to all the mushy stuff. The Sookie in the books was a little more serious, down to earth, and deep. Hopefully True Blood can show that in some of the episodes.

Anyhow, here is the sneak peak. I can't wait to see the full episodes!

Lair of the Lion by Christine Feehan

I'm currently reading Lair of the Lion by Christine Feehan. This is the first single title that I have read by her, although I have read most of her dark series. I also love the Drake Sisters and Ghost Walkers series.

Christine Feehan just seems to have a special touch with her paranormal romances. Even if I didn't know the book was by her initially, I would be able to tell while reading it. I really like the Gothic edge her vamp books have.

I'm only about halfway through the book, but it looks promising. Basically it is a Beauty and the Beast redo, complete with a huge gothic-like castle.

Things That Really Go Bump In The Night

Sleep paralysis: A frightening form of paralysis that occurs when a person suddenly finds himself or herself unable to move for a few minutes, most often upon falling asleep or waking up. Sleep paralysis is due to an ill-timed disconnection between the brain and the body.

How many of you are scared of the dark? And how many of you have a reason to be?

It's amazing how many people have shared their stories online of experiencing weird phenomenons at night. Thousands of people report experiencing true terror late at night. They hear noises that can't be explained. Many times these noises are either a tapping or scratching noise.

Exploration of the premises during the day does not show any obvious cause of the noise. Yet the tapping or scratching continues night after night. They can't sleep. Night is a truly a fearful time for them.

The same people also report seeing dark shadows out of the corner of their eye. Some report hearing the sound of someone moving towards them, just to turn around and see nothing. Others report footsteps. Some say they just feel like someone is there and they turn over and nobody is there.

Science would explain this as being sleep paralysis. Yet, many of these people that experience these things aren't even in bed, much less asleep.

It seems to strike people that are alone, more often then not. Overactive imagination or something else? Do a search on Google for related terms, and you will be shocked at how many people are going through stuff like this.

From a Christian standpoint, I don't believe this is something that Science can explain away. When someone is experiencing phenomenon like this, my first thought is to inquire if they are practicing some type of dark art. Something like tarot cards, etc. And I will explain why.

Years ago in my younger days, I knew someone that thought it would be fun to start dabbling with tarot cards. The girl did it for fun, but underneath it all, she started seeing that many times her readings were right. Of course she did it for all her friends, and built up quite a reputation for being right. Within a short amount of time, people were calling her asking her to give them a reading. These were people that she didn't know before, and they would pay her to read the tarot for them.

During this short amount of time, a lot of weird things started happening to her. Right before she started practicing tarot herself, she went and had her cards read. The psychic told her she had a spirit guide, and that the spirit guide said she was in danger.

One night she had left her windows open and went to sleep. She felt fairly secure because her windows were about 12 feet above the ground. A few hours later, she heard a loud male voice say, "Get UP, there is someone at your window." An instant later, she heard a thud and her dogs outside went nuts. They attacked whoever it was, and the person ran off.

Also during this time, she started hearing weird noises all night long. As she became more involved in the tarot, a tapping noise started up in her bedroom. Every night, she would hear a loud tap, tap, tap. After thorough investigating, she never could find a reason for the tapping.

Of course, nobody is going to want to sleep during those kinds of circumstances. She lived alone and basically stayed up every single night.

One night, exhaustion finally caught up with her. She fell asleep. She always kept her sheet and covers securely tucked underneath the edge of the mattress. She dreamed that the blanket and sheet were slowly moving up her legs. Waking up, she found her blankets and sheet pulled up around her knees. Less than an hour had passed since she dozed off.

A few more weeks passed by, and things like this kept happening. The final straw was one night she dozed off on the couch. She awoke sometime later in the night and saw the outline of a head with horns in the window. The image didn't go away. At that point, she decided to get rid of the tarot cards. Taking the cards outside, she lit fire to them and burned them completely. She also spent a good deal of time praying, asking God to take this away from her.

After doing this, she went back into her house and never did hear the tapping again.

Yes, this is a true story.

Many times though people have things like this to go on, and they don't practice any type of fortune telling. This happens to people that are Christians. How do we explain this?

The truth is, I really don't have an answer. As a Christian, I believe that their is good and evil. I believe that God has his Angels, and Satan has his demons. Just like angels are doing good works for us, the demons are out there doing everything they can to cause people misery.

I think that these forces are always at work, but when a person is alone or it's dark and quiet, we are more conscious of the activity. It has been said that when a person is asleep or at that point, they are more susceptible to influences that we don't understand.

And sometimes when a person is really on the verge of doing something great for God, they are getting attacked the worst. As to why people seem to experience this more when they are alone, I have to wonder if it's not because people are more vulnerable when they are alone. Like the saying goes, there is power in numbers.

So if you are experiencing stuff like this, I would really pray about it. Talk to a pastor or another respected religious leader. If you are dabbling in the black arts, get rid of them. I can't say that burning them is the best way, as I'm not sure about that. You will need to find someway to dispose of them though.

I know an older lady that received a pack of tarot cards from someone that dabbled in it for years. The lady was dying, and passed them on to her. The tarot cards were authentic and must have been at least a hundred years old.

The lady that received them was superstitious enough to never bring the cards into her house. She was afraid for whatever reason to throw them away. I think she thought that they would find a way back to her or somehow she would be cursed. So she buried them in an undisclosed location somewhere on her property about forty years ago. Nobody but her knows where she put them, and they might not be found for hundreds of years.

Another bit of info I found was on Yahoo. Part of the advice was the following: "One troubled by demon attacks should also be aware of objects or articles that may have been given him about the time such attacks began. Practitioners of witchcraft sometimes cast spells on persons by having an object or article brought into the victim’s presence. This brings the victim into contact with the demons. In one case a garment was sent by a voodooist to a victim, and as long as the victim had that garment and wore it, it resulted in demon attacks and movements, especially at night. The removal of this garment resulted in relief. Hence, there may be some article or some individual who is in close contact with the oppressed person, one whom such a person would have to detect as being the channel through whom the demons are trying to take control of him, by reducing him to a state of exhaustion, nervously, mentally and physically."

So a good plan of action would be to realize you're not alone. This has happened to countless members of our society. Try not to be physically alone. Talk to a respected religious leader. Pray........ often. Get rid of anything having to do with the dark arts, and don't pick them back up when it's all over. Think about any items you might have been given or acquired recently. If necessary, get rid of them. Pray again.

Recently I was flipping through a magazine and I saw a quote he had made about the crew on True Blood. It really struck me as so funny, because it was such a dry quote. So I had to go online and find the full quote.

Jessica Hamby - Deborah Ann Woll on True Blood

Don't you just love the way that Jessica is turning out on HBO's True Blood?

When Jessica first came on the scene, I thought she was going to be a real pain. The following is a clip of her after she is made a vampire. It also shows the Fangtasia scene with Eric. It's funny, but you end up thinking she's a brat. Geez.

Then we get into Season 2, and it is explaining a lot. She had to grow up with a mean daddy and a mom that seemed to always look in the other direction. I love the scene in Merlotte's, and I love what they did with her hair.

The biggest shocker of all was throwing Hoyt into the mix. You wouldn't think of Hoyt and Jessica ending up together, but really it makes great sense.

I hated that we had to miss a week of True Blood while they were "taking a break". I can't wait to see what happens on the next episode though.

Happy 4th of July! Here in KY, we are not having much of one. It has been raining all afternoon and now we have moved into thunderstorms. So I hope wherever you are at, you are missing the rain!

You might have quite a few people in mind when you think about the people that made this holiday possible. George Washington has always been one of the first that I think about. I can only imagine what it must have been like living in those times.

In 1778, General George Washington marked July 4 with a double ration of rum for his soldiers and an artillery salute. I'm sure that was a great way to celebrate in that day and age. Needless to say, he had a strong personality in his lifetime and he was a powerful figure.

George lived and died in his Mount Vernon premises. In this day and age, they have a big celebration in his historic manor. It looks like there is a lot of activity on the 4th, including daytime fireworks.

But does George Washington's spirit still live on? There have been numerous reports of hauntings and paranormal activity on his plantation. In 1930, there was a report that a crying baby was moved from the crib and found on top of a dresser. It has been said that animals shy away from parts of the plantation that experience the paranormal activity. I've heard enough about it to make me glad that I won't be spending the night there.

It has even been said that George Washington's ghost saved a group of Union soldiers around Little Round Hill during the civil war. Many report seeing the ghost of George and his horse riding around Gettysburg to this day.

I think about anyone could agree that he was a powerful General and a powerful President. George was a man of action, and with his powerful personality, he was able to make things happen. Was his personality strong enough to result in present day hauntings? You be the judge!

Friday the 13th

So has anyone seen the newest Friday the 13th movie? How does it compare with the original ones?

I guess you could say that Friday the 13th was the first horror series that I ever really got into. I can remember truly thinking they were scary, and I couldn't wait to watch the next one. Following that would be the Halloween movies, but that's another post.

Many of us remember the 80's quite fondly and refer to it as the good old days. You had jellyfish shoes, big hair, and it seemed like everyone was just better spirited back then. You sure didn't have all the high prices and worries that we have in this day and age. There were a lot of free spirits in the 80's.

And Friday the 13th movies were just full of these free spirits.

Basically, Jason went to summer camp and drowned one year. I think the reason he drowned was because the lifeguards were having sex or something like that. Regardless of anything, they weren't watching the kids. I believe Jason had a facial disfigurement as well.

Jason comes back and wants revenge on everyone at Crystal Lake. He wears a hockey mask to cover his face up. Jason is big and bad and not anyone you want to mess with. It also seems like he's got a serious complex about sex and anyone having sex is going to have a gruesome time of it. The movies were actually pretty interesting, and the creepy music really set the mood.

So I would say the first several Friday the 13th movies would be hard to beat. I also really liked the movie where Jason was in space too. I thought that was pretty neat. Hey I rhymed here without meaning too lol.

I expect that this newest 2009 release will be something similar, only there won't be the big hair and all that. I just hope it's as inventive as the prior movies.

Eric Northman's Basement Scene in a Cape and Foil

Ok y'all, you know that I've been talking a lot about Eric Northman's (Alexander Skarsgård) scene in True Blood's Season 2 premier. You know with the whole foil and highlighting going on. Only Alan Ball could think up a scene like this! Sending a very manly looking, 1,000 year old vampire down into a basement with people that are chained with metal collars, while he is wearing a beauty shop cape and highlighting foil.

It's actually pretty funny until Eric gets down and goes all gruesome. I could have done without the stringy bloody stuff. And didn't I see an arm fly by Lafayette?

I'm just hoping that his hair looks different because he's getting it highlighted, and it's not permanent. I loved his light blond, long flowing locks!

My Thoughts on the True Blood Season 2 Debut

Did anyone else watch True Blood last night?

I was really impressed with the premier episode of season 2. I just wish it was longer. I've been eagerly anticipating this season, and the clips I had seen just added to it. I got a lot of my questions answered last night with episode 13.

So what happened?

Sookie finds out about Bill having to make a new vamp. They met and Sookie actually made a good impact on Jessica. Sam went off on Sookie, which I think was a long time coming. The Sookie in the books by Charlaine Harris is different than True Blood's Sookie. In the books, Sookie is sweeter and has a more positive attitude. She has manners, and that helps to make her character more real. Sookie in True Blood seems to have an attitude, and she flys off to easily. She's moody. It's like she has a perpetual case of PMS. I am hoping she will be sweeter this season.

I was relieved to see that Lafayette is still on the show. I love how they had the whole creepy basement thing. I wasn't sure who was behind the abduction until I saw Eric. I think that Lafayette is going to end up being made into a vampire. It looks like we are going to be seeing a more serious side of him. Won't that be interesting?

The whole Mary Ann and Sam interlude (you know back in the day) was gross. Sorry! I'm sure that Mary Ann is the one responsible for Miss Jeanette's death. I loved the way that Mary Ann put Tara's mother in her place. It was great. And doesn't Tara just look gorgeous since she got away from her mother?

About Eric..... What happened to his hair? In Season 1 Eric was uh, well, SEXY! He put a face to the Eric in the books, and I thought he was perfect for the role. I loved his long, blonde locks. Something about his face or skin just looked different in Season 1.

Eric arrives on Season 2 when he comes downstairs to the basement in a beauty salon cape with aluminum foil on his head. Previously, I had speculated on this but now I know. It is to funny that a manly man like Eric was in the middle of getting highlights done. Upon his arrival though, I noticed the difference in his appearance and it wasn't just due to the foil. I want the old Eric back.

So I will definitely be watching new episodes on Sunday nights. I can't wait to see how it all plays out.

Fae and Fairytales

Not to long ago, I read a short story based on a story published over a hundred years ago. The story really grabbed my attention. I'm going to share it with you. Although I might not get it exactly right, at least you will get the main parts of the legend.

Legend had it that fairies used to gather once a year on the Summer Solstice. During this time, there was much merriment that only lasted for that one night. Accounts record these events as being held in various woods that were near some type of fairy magnet. For example, many believe that Stonehenge is a type of portal for the Fae. The fairies would have camp fires with music and dancing. They would wear their finest clothes and dance the night away. Yet it was not quite the same as a human gathering.

These gatherings were not supposed to be viewed by humans, but sometimes humans stumbled into the wrong place at the wrong time. And wished they never had.

Why were they scary? It had to something to do with the power and magic that surrounded these events. Instruments played music that the normal human would never hear. The humans that did end up being pulled into the fairy plane saw and heard things that others never would. Some humans were taken into service and not ever able to escape the binds that the Fae folk placed on them. They would lose most of their humanity. They couldn't smell anymore, didn't eat regular food, and could not escape the Fae life. Fae never aged, and neither did humans taken into captivity.

Back then, the Fae was something to be avoided. People would hold special ceremonies to protect themselves from the Fae and a lifetime of service to them. People had a genuine fear of coming across beings like these.

Legends about the Fae and Fairy Folk have been passed down for hundreds of years. In history and during these times, people were very superstitious. According to accounts from the past, there were stories shared and written about people that the Fae took.

Present day, we are a modern society and don't fear coming across the Fae. These stories have been turned into fairy tales. Many claim that the Fae have blocked us and seldom interact with this world in this day and age, if they ever believe they existed.

Were legends like these the result of an overactive imagination? Or was there some kind of grain of truth to them? I guess it depends on who you ask.

Ok True Blood fans, how many of you are just counting the days until the Season 2 premier?

I know I am!

I've been looking forward to this for months. I saw in an interview that this season will be even wilder than the first. All I can say is bring it on. I know I have reserved my Sunday nights to TB!

They did such a great job selecting the right actors and actresses for the roles. It has really brought the books to life for me. I'm going to be so disappointed if Lafayette is not brought back though. Since the show isn't going exactly along the lines of the books, I am hoping he will at least come back as a vamp. Wouldn't that be wild?

To get you in the mood for all the wildness that only True Blood can bring to your TV screen, I am posting some videos that HBO has recently released.

I don't know how many of you have been seeing the previews on HBO, but I do have one question. Does anybody know what's up with Eric and the aluminum foil? I thought I'd blog today about a little free membership I have to earn cashback on my Ebay purchases and other places I like to shop online. Charlaine Harris Dead and Gone

I just got finished reading Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris. I really enjoyed the book and managed to read it in just a few short hours. I couldn't wait to get on here and blog about it before I start it all over again.

The Sookie Stackhouse series is one of my favorites. The books are just so "down home" (Yeah, I'm from the South), and I can really relate to the language and odds and ends in the book. I love the real touch that Charlaine Harris gives the books. I think these inserts about southern manners and ice tea bring the series to life in her readers.

As a bbw and a single woman I can relate to different parts of this specific book. In one part, Sookie and Eric are in Fangtasia. A heavier woman comes over and asks for Eric to autograph something. When telling the woman's thoughts, Sookie basically says that the lady didn't really think of Eric as attractive because she realizes that a man like him wouldn't ever look at a woman like her because of her weight. Sookie then proceeds to have a short thought of Eric going over and making the heavier woman feel like she is attractive, etc.

I have to wonder in real life, how many women wish that a handsome guy would do something like that.

There was just something different about this book. It seemed like Sookie had more of the real life struggles of a single woman. There seemed to be more emphasis on the whole love triangle of Sookie, Bill, and Eric. It was touching. It's like Bill and Eric offer both sides of the Perfect Male.

I really see Sookie as being the type of woman that just wants to be loved and accepted for who she is. She's very practical. She just wants someone that's she can rely on and spend the rest of her life with. Each man she has been involved with could almost be that man, but then he does that one thing that messes it up. And that one thing is a big thing that can't just be overlooked.

The Bill and Eric saga just continues on, and I'm not sure who will be right for Sookie. I don't think Quinn was the right person. Eric and Bill both have a lot of good qualities, but Eric seems to always be there for her. Until this book. In Dead and Gone, it seems like Bills comes through in her darkest hour.

So if you haven't read the book, here are some spoilers. Don't read this paragraph if you don't want to know..... Eric and Sookie hook back up. Tara is pregnant. Claudine is pregnant. Crystal dies. Halleigh thinks she might be pregnant. Sookie is basically tortured, and we aren't sure if Bill is going to live due to silver poisioning. Niall says a final goodbye to Sookie. Claudine goes to Summerland, which I think means she died. The FBI comes knocking on the door, and I'm sure in the next book there will be pressure to force Sookie into working for them. Overall, some questions are answered in this book, but a lot is left open.

I don't know when Charlaine is going to have another Sookie Stackhouse book. I hope that it's not going to be a year. It makes it hard to follow a series when the books aren't released that often. I really think she has a winning series here.

Dark Shadows The Revival 1991

When I was younger, I watched a series on tv called Dark Shadows: The Revival. I can remember really enjoying the show, but it only had one season. I always hoped there would be a second season.

The other day I was in the library, and I saw they had the complete season on dvds. I ended up checking them out and watching them again. It was a really great series. The last episode leaves you thinking there will be more to the show. It's a shame that they left it at that.

I never did watch the original series that aired in the 1960's or so. I loved the 1991 version, and I think Ben Cross made an excellent vampire. The show is dark and has a lot of paranormal and supernatural activity. You really think that Barnabus is going to be this super evil vampire, until they go back in time and show you the real story. It is a Gothic type of show.

Nightmare Snake

Snakes. Just the word gives many of us the creeps. Not to mention a gigantic one like the picture above. Recently, this aerial photograph hit the news. It's reported to be proof of a giant snake in this Borneo waterway. It was taken by a disaster team checking flood regions. Comparing the snake against the trees is just frightening.

Borneo is located at the center of Maritime Southeast Asia. It's the third largest island in the world. Surrounded by the South China Sea, the Sulu Sea, the Celebes Sea, Makassar Strait, Java Sea,and Karimata Strait, it obviously has a lot of water that is connected. A giant snake would have plenty of room to move and food to eat. It would also be very difficult to find and track.

People in that region are very superstitious to begin with. Whether they have cause or not, I could not say. I can say that I am a believer that there are still mysteries in this world that Science cannot explain.

This year, Scientists found the fossils of a giant snake called Titanoboa. They believe it lived around 58 million years ago. It measured 40 to 50 feet long and weighed about 2,500 pounds. The diet of this snake was believed to be cows and giant turtles. Maybe they should make a movie called Titanoboa On A Plane. It would definitely be a horror film.

Who knows what proof will surface in the future regarding gigantic snakes. In the meantime, my advice to the people in Borneo is don't go swimming in the water.

Twilight Movie Sequel....... New Moon

I finally watched the movie Twilight and loved it. That's another post though. In fact you can see it here.

I can't wait to see New Moon, the Twilight sequel. I think we are going to be in for a few surprises when it is eventually released. I don't think it's going to go exactly like the book.

It will have a new director named Chris Weitz. Chris directed the movie, "The Golden Compass." I think having a new director will give the sequel new direction. In the past, I have noticed that some sequels end up stale. I doubt this will apply to New Moon though.

I think that the New Moon has already ran into a few planning snags. One of the problems is finding Native American actors to play Jacob's clan. I think this is sad. To me, it's a sign that Native Americans are dwindling down in numbers. I hate to see something like that happen. I guess that's another blog entry as well though.

I've heard it being said that New Moon could possibly be released as early at November 20, 2009. I guess only time will tell. I think it would be safer to plan for a winter release. Possibly end of 2009 or beginning of 2010.

I will definitely update this post as soon as I hear the actual release date for sure.

Twilight DVD Release Tonight at 12:01 AM

I just wanted to remind everyone that tonight at Wal-Mart at 12:01 AM Twilight will be released. The cost of the dvd will be $17.00.

24 hour Wal-Marts will be having special Midnight events including giveaways and more.

I won't be going to the Midnight event tonight, but I plan on hitting Wal-Mart in the morning to buy the DVD. I haven't seen it yet, so I am really looking forward to it.

Upcoming Paranormal Book Releases from my Fav Authors

There are several books releasing this year that I can't wait to read. Most of my favorite authors have something coming out. I thought I'd share a few of these upcoming paranormal releases.

1. Nina Bangs - Eternal Craving. This is part of the "Gods of the Night" series, Book 2. It's due to release on April 28, 2009.

2. Keri Arthur - Deadly Desire. This is book 7 in the Riley Jensen series. I thought this book was released already, but I'm not having luck locating it on Ebay yet. It's due out anytime though.

3. Sherrilyn Kenyon - Bad Moon Rising. This is part of the Dark Hunters series, but it's not due out until August 2009.

4. Charlaine Harris - Dead and Gone. This is book 9 in the Sookie Stackhouse series. True Blood (HBO) is based on this series. The hardcover will be released in May 2009.

5. Kresley Cole - A Deep Kiss of Winter and Pleasure of a Dark Prince. These are both books from the Immortals After Dark series. A Deep Kiss of Winter is a written by Kresley Cole and Gena Showalter. Due to be released 11/2009. Pleasure of a Dark Prince will be released in 1/2010.

6. Gena Showalter - The Vampire's Bride. This is part of the Atlantis series. Due to be released March 2009.

True Blood Season 2 Premier Date

Production for season 2 of True Blood began in January. Meanwhile, I have eagerly been awaiting news about the second season.

Officially, HBO hasn't released a premier date. They have been quoted saying Season 2 will start in the summer. Author Charlaine Harris is saying that it will be released June 14, 2009. For those of you that don't know, True Blood is based off the Southern Vampire series written by Charlaine Harris.

Valerie Cruz has been cast in the role of Isabel. Isabel will be appearing as a Hispanic vampire. I can't say I remember Isabel from the books. Was she in them? I only read the books once, so it's possible that I just don't remember.

So True Blood fans, make sure to start watching for Season 2 in June. I'm sure it will end up being as great as the first season.

Demonic Possession

I thought I'd share this story I heard in Sunday School last week....

Last Sunday, we got on the discussion of demonic possession in the days that Jesus walked the earth. If you look at the Bible, you will see it said many times that Jesus cast demons out of people. Being that it was mentioned so much in the Bible, it makes sense to me that many would still have this problem in our day and age as well.

So the teacher decided to share a story that his wife had told him.

About 40 years ago, his wife must have been a teenage girl. One Sunday in church, they apparently attempted to pray over someone that claimed to have a demonic possession. During this process, they saw a fog like substance come out of the person and move towards the door. As the substance progressed to the doorway, they say that it stopped and they heard a loud laugh from it. It then disappeared.

Now this was witnessed by everyone in the church that day.

When I hear stories like this, I have to admit it gives me the chills. When you have a whole lot of people that witness the same event, it's really hard to deny it. I feel like this is something that is alive and well in this day, and the people that don't believe it are in the most danger of falling prey to possession.

The teacher went on to talking about how people in the church need to make sure that they are right with God before being around someone that is attempting to overcome demonic possession. He said that when that demon comes out, it's looking for a new person to take over.

I was looking at this Christian website that talks about signs of demonic possession. One of the signs involves mental problems such as hearing voices, insanity, etc. It makes me wonder if some people that are diagnosed with mental problems are in fact victims of demonic possession.

Years ago, I watched the movie, "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" when it was released on dvd. The movie was really a good horror type of show, but it also has a sense of realism to it. If you haven't seen it yet, here's a good website with information about it. I remember reading somewhere that the movie was based on real events.

I have to say that I'm not sure how an exorcism would work. In the days of Jesus, he was able to cast them out. I'm sure that now it's a lot harder. Yet it can be done and requires a lot of prayer from everyone connected to the person. It also requires the help of a religious leader that is qualified to perform exorcisms.

I have to say that we never really got beyond the first page of the Sunday school lesson because of the discussion regarding demonic possession. I truly believe that this is still going on to this day. The only way to resolve a problem like this through God and the church.

Finally the rumors regarding Anna and Stephen have been confirmed!

Even before reading this news article, I really thought that Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer had chemistry in their scenes on True Blood. Now it has been confirmed.

TV Guide Magazine has published an article from an interview with True Blood's Stephen Moyer. Stephen plays Vampire Bill. Apparently their love affair is on and off the screen. Stephen thinks that Anna Paquin "is the best."

If you watched Season 1 of True Blood, you will remember the scene where Sookie rescinds Bill's invitation (into her house) after Bill comes upon Sookie and Sam kissing. Makes you wonder how much of that jealousy was real! I can't imagine it's fun to watch your girlfriend kiss another guy..... Even if you are all professionals.

With season 2 fast approaching, I have to believe that Sookie is going to be seeing a lot more action on True Blood. I look forward to watching True Blood, Season 2, and seeing Bill's reactions as well.

Falling in Love With Twilight

As some of you may know, I really never thought I would end up reading the Twilight series. After all, high school was a long time ago for me. I envisioned this series would be of interest to teenagers, but not someone of my advanced age of 29.

One day at the library though, they actually had the rare copy on the shelf. I decided to try it out. The copy was actually the first book called, "Twilight."

I was really impressed with the book. It kept me entertained, and I could see why so many people love it.

Never being one to do anything in order, I ended up reading the last book, "Breaking Dawn." Now I am working on Eclipse.

Being that I have read the last book, I have to wonder if there is anyway to continue the series with Bella and Edward. Now that she has been changed to a vampire, where could Stephanie take the story next? Of course, she laid the groundwork for Jacob and Bella's daughter. I would imagine that future books in this series will be about other characters in the books. It's kind of sad, as in most ways we will be saying Goodbye to Bella, someone that even us older people can relate to.

I haven't read a book that quite places vampires in the description that Stephanie Meyer has. It's hard to imagine vampires that remind you of Greek marble statues. With icy cold breath and a touch that would chill you to the bone. Not to mention skin and lips that feel like marbles. Yet I couldn't imagine any other type of vampire fitting into this series.

Bella seems like an old soul for a teenage girl. Breaking Dawn moved at a fast pace, and within a short period of time she was married and pregnant. Bella was full of life, and it's hard to picture her as a vampire now.

I also found it interesting that in Breaking Dawn, after Bella was turned, she started to lose her human memories. It really starts to change the whole theme, focus, and backbone of the book. The books seemed to play around Bella's humanity and mortal weaknesses. Now that she is immortal, the Cullens won't have to be so protective.

I'm looking forward to reading New Moon. It will answer my questions about the time that Edward was gone. This series has been so interesting. I've really connected with it, and I have to say now that I can't wait to watch the movie Twilight. Obviously I have missed it in the theaters, but it will be out next month.

As for the books, I can only hope that somehow the series will continue. Stephanie Meyer is a very imaginative author, and if anyone could bring the story out, it's her. I look forward to seeing what happens.

If you've considered reading the series but declined, maybe you should reconsider. It's an awesome set that will keep you entertained through the rest of these cold winter months.

Baker Cemetary in Marion, KY

I've decided that I am definitely going to make a trip to Marion, KY to explore the haunted cemetery. I've been reading a lot of experiences regarding visitors to the cemetery, and I believe it will be fun trip. There are all kinds of haunted accounts regarding the cemetery, and I can't wait to see what I can find.

If anyone has any information that would make it easier to find, I'd love to hear about it.

I'm tentatively planning a trip in the next two or three weeks. After the trip, I will come back here and post my experiences and pictures.

Lost Tapes on Animal Planet

Last night I saw a really great show on Animal Planet called the Lost Tapes. The legends that were segmented were the Death Worm and the Hell hound.

As far as I could tell, the "tapes" were fiction, meant to give us insight into the legends. I have to admit that this threw me a little bit, because they made the tapes look like ones that were recovered from everyday people.

It was really interesting though, and one of the better shows I have seen lately. Every Tuesday night it airs, with new stuff about different legends. It looks like they will have shows about everything from Skin walkers to Moth man.

On the segment about the Hell hound, I found out that a cemetery in Marion, KY supposedly has one of their own. A hell hound is defined as a dog of hell; an agent of hell. Some legends say if you see it 3 times, you die. Marion is not very far from me, so maybe one day I will go out and snap some pictures.

As the legend goes, Baker Hollow Road Cemetery in Marion, KY has it's own guardian dog, otherwise known as a hell hound. The phantom dog is supposed to cast a demon shadow and have yellow eyes. The legend says that this ghost dog roams the cemetery constantly. Sounds interesting.

Usually when you think of Animal Planet, you think of puppy bowl or other cute animal shows. I have to say this was a different variation. If you're interested in the paranormal, tune in on Tuesday nights.

True Blood - Behind the Scenes

One thing I find interesting about the cast of True Blood is the various locations the actors and actresses are from.

Stephen Moyer plays Bill and he's from England. Sam Trammell plays Sam and he's from New Orleans, LA. Ryan Kwanten is from Australia, and he plays Jason. Anna Paquin plays Sookie Stackhouse, and she was born in Canada. The list goes on.

Despite their original accents, the cast has done a wonderful job in attaining southern accents on the show. I recently watched a behind the scenes clip of True Blood, and I was amazed at how different their real-life voices are. You can see that a lot of work most have went into voice modification.

Despite the challenges this must have represented, I really don't think they could have selected a better cast. Ryan Kwanten fits the role of Jason perfectly. Is it time for season 2 yet? I am so eagerly anticipating it.

True Blood - Fangtasia

One of my many favorite scenes from True Blood is the first scene at Fangtasia. During this scene we get our first introduction to Eric and Pam. We also get to see what Fangtasia is all about.

I read in an interview that Kristin Baur was jet-lagged and exhausted during the filming of this scene. I think that this added to her character. Pam has a distinct, dry type of personality that Kristin has perfected.

The other night I was surfing the net for True Blood news, and I came across a really entertaining website full of True Blood interviews, news, and pictures. It's called True-Blood.net.

I had a lot of fun reading the interviews. From the interviews I found that that the scene with Pam and Eric speeding off from Fangtasia was actually done with a skateboard and ropes. The scene was a great scene, and it's kind of funny that it was performed with everyday objects.

I haven't read beyond the interviews with Alan Ball, Alexander Skarsgard, and Kristin Bauer. I look forward to getting more behind the scenes information when I do! If you are a True Blood fan, you will want to check it out for a lot of info that you might not know about the show and cast.

Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I love the Dark Hunter Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I've read many books by her, but I've never had the chance to pick up the first one until last week. I was really impressed, and my only disappointment was that Acheron wasn't in it. He's really one of my favorite characters.

Basically, Julian of Macedon is a love slave. He has been trapped in a book for the last 2,000 years. He's only released when he summoned for his services. After 30 days, he's returned back to the book.

To make a long story short, Selena comes across the book in a bookstore and thinks of her friend Grace. Grace has been without sex for four years. Before that she had just one experience with it, and it was a bad one. So if anybody needs it, Grace really does.

After Julian is released, Grace falls in love with him. They never make it to the intercourse part. So she really wants to find a way to get him released from the curse of being a sex slave. Not that most guys would want to be released from that type of curse right? But Julian does.

This book is really a good read for men and women.

I know a lot of men shy away in horror when they hear the word ROMANCE, but let me give a little food for thought. If it wasn't for Alan Ball picking up a Charlaine Harris book and reading it, we wouldn't have the show True Blood. I have to say that is my favorite show, and I can't wait for season 2 to begin.

Fantasy Lover really gave me some insight into the characters that I've met by reading other books in the Dark Hunter series. I can really see how Sherrilyn has grown in her writings.

I wouldn't say that Fantasty Lover was my favorite, but I have to say that it was worth reading. Up next, I am going to read Dragonswan and Night Pleasures, both of them books I haven't had the chance to read yet.

How many of you went to the theater and watched the movie Twilight?

I haven't seen the movie or read any of the books. I know it seems to be very popular among teenage girls, so I wondered if it wasn't more of a teen movie?

Anyhow, I do plan on watching it on dvd. The dvd release date for Twilight is March 21, 2009. I imagine that a copy of this will be hard to come by the first few weeks if you are renting it.

Charlaine is the writer of the Southern Vampire series, which is the books that True Blood is based on.

According to this news article here, Charlaine is going to be speaking and signing books at the Central location of the Houston Public Library. This will be her only appearance to support the reissue of her book, Living Dead in Dallas. Starts at 7:00 PM. It looks like so much fun!

True Blood - Opening of the first show

So What's the Big Deal about the Supernatural Anyhow?

As you can see from my blog, I love to read supernatural and paranormal romances.

What you don't see from this blog is the true anticipation I have when I know my favorite authors are fixing to release a new book! Currently I'm hooked on the Southern Vampire series. There is nothing better than settling down for the evening with a book I haven't read yet. Obviously, I love to read.

Americans are really into the paranormal. Judging by the revenues brought in by movies like Twilight and shows like True Blood, there are many people that love to watch the unexplained.

There has never been any true scientific evidence brought forward in regards to the existence of vampires and werewolves. So we (at least the majority) know that it's all works of fiction. So what is the appeal? Why do we love and crave (no pun intended) more and more of this type of entertainment?

I did a little digging online about proof of vampires. I came across this BBC transcript with Sean Manchester, who says he is a vampire hunter. If you'd like to read the 3 page transcript of the interview, click here.

Digging a little deeper, I found out that Sean Manchester is a true believer of vampires. He wrote books about, "The Highgate Vampire." The Highgate Vampire was a media sensation surrounding reports of supposed supernatural activity at Highgate Cemetery in London. There is actually a movie being made about this.

He is also President of the Vampire Research Society. This society is based in the UK. Anyhow, I surfed over to check it out and happened upon questions answered by Sean Manchester. I have to say it freaked me out. If you'd like to check it out, click here.

I guess the true reason I found this FAQ a little unsettling was that this person truly believes in the existence of vampires and the supernatural. He has even said that he was attacked by a vampire. It's unsettling to read about things you know are fiction in a non-fiction type of way.

So again I have to ask, what is the real appeal? I think for me, I enjoy using my imagination. I enjoy the action and what ifs. I believe the everyday American likes to imagine a world of excitement and action.

All Together Dead - Southern Vampire Mysteries, Book 7

Alright, I know I have done a big jump from reading book 1 in the Southern Vampire Mysteries to book 7, but I couldn't help myself.

Being an avid fan of the HBO show True Blood, I couldn't wait to start reading the books that they were based on.

I just recently read Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris. I'd been on a waiting list at the local library for it. Ok well, I've been on the waiting list for all the books that they carry in the series. Which is only two or three.

After reading Dead Until Dark, I decided to purchase more of the series from Ebay. I am waiting on books 2, 3, and 4 to get here. Anyhow, I got the chance to pick up All Together Dead today at the library.

I'm on page 242 right now, and I can say I must have missed a lot in the other books. I'm enjoying it, but it's hard to imagine Sookie without Bill. Eric is a dish though!

Spoiler Alert for those that haven't read the books. I'm shocked that the whole reason that Bill and Sookie hooked up was because he was on a secret mission for the queen. Yet it all makes sense. How he strolled into the bar and kept asking her, "What are you?" Up until this point, I always thought it was just a fateful meeting.

I really wish I would have discovered these books years ago. They are great. If you haven't read them yet, I would run, not walk, to your local library and start with book one.

Gravity Hill in Princeton, KY

When I was in middle school, I can remember the teacher telling us about Gravity Hill in Princeton, KY.

According to my middle school teacher, gravity would pull your car up a hill in this area.

As I got older, a different story circulated among my peers. The story was a girl had been murdered on this lonely little road in the middle of nowhere. If someone stopped their car there, it was actually her ghost that would push you up the road. As the story went, this was her way of keeping you out of danger.

By the time I heard this version of the story, just about everybody had been to Gravity Hill. Some had really extreme stories. I can remember one teen telling that he had sat on the back of the car as it was pushed up the road. At one point, something reached up and grabbed his ankle. According to him, afterwards he had several bloody scratches.

I'd also heard another similar story from another person. Only in this tale, they saw hand prints on the back of the car after they were done.

Is it any wonder that after hearing these tales, I had to jump on the bandwagon? This sounded really fascinating.

One evening I went with a friend. It was kind of hard to find for someone that wasn't familiar with the Princeton area. Princeton is a very rural area. We did find it. The road itself doesn't have many houses on it if memory serves me right. The area in question is located right underneath an old, small overpass.

It was dusk when we arrived. We turned the vehicle off, put it in neutral, and waited. Within seconds, the car did take off. It gained speed, and it was really amazing. I don't think we checked the trunk area out though. I was so impressed that I ended up going back with my grandma, her friend, and anyone else I could find to take.

Of course this has been about fifteen years ago. I haven't been through that area in so long, that they might have had a few changes. I doubt that Gravity Hill has changed much though.

If you ever pass through the Princeton, KY area, you should try it out. If you are coming from Princeton, you will go west (on 62) like you are heading towards Eddyville. About 3 miles on the right you will see Crider Dulaney Rd. Continue on down the road until you see the overpass. When we did it, we always turned the car around, but you can try it both ways.

If you decide to make a trip, come back and share. Let us know if you find any handprints on the back of your car when you are done.

Dead Until Dark...... Book 1 in the Southern Vampires series

Just in case you couldn't tell from looking at my blog, I am a True Blood fan. Season 2 can't come fast enough for me.

Up until this point, I hadn't read any of the Sookie Stackhouse books. That all changed yesterday. Let's just say I couldn't put the book down.

Dead Until Dark is book 1 in the series. It's written by Charlaine Harris. I wanted to start at the beginning and read it in the order they were written. I can also tell from reading this book that season 1 of True Blood was based on it.

This book was great. A lot of season 1 of True Blood was really and truly based on the book. I can see that the producer made an effort to really not change it. The changes he made are phenomenal though.

In Dead Until Dark, Lafayette really didn't have much of a role. He was mentioned in the book as the cook. It was mentioned that he painted his fingernails (or something like that) and that he dressed brightly. Basically none of his wild and crazy scenes in True Blood were in the book.

Alan Ball did an amazing job developing LaFayette's character from the book.

I really think it's an act of fate that this show was even made. I was reading an interview tonight with Alan Ball about True Blood. You can read the interview here. Anyhow when asked, "How did you discover these books and decide they'd make a great HBO series?", his response was; "I was early for a dentist appointment, and I had some time to kill. I went into Barnes and Noble, and I just bought this book on impulse. It was just a little paperback, and on the cover, the tagline said, ''Maybe having a vampire for a boyfriend wasn't such a good idea.'' I thought it was kind of funny. I started reading it that night, and I couldn't put it down. And the minute I was done with it, I wanted to read the next one. And I really got addicted."

All I can say is I'm very glad he decided to check this book out.

I've already been checking Ebay out tonight in attempts of getting affordable copies of the rest of the series. I can't wait to read them. I'm sure the next one I get will be received and read all in one day.

Help with a dream that is really more of a nightmare

I recently received an email from a person asking to remain anonymous. This person wanted help with a dream.

The dream that this woman was having is really kind of frightening. In this room, she was in seemed to have stone walls. She saw a handful of what she believed to be men, but she couldn't see their faces. The men were wearing hooded robes that were made of a rich Burgundy wine color. The material was very heavy, and the hood came over their faces somewhat. The room and robes were something you might have expected to seen hundreds of years ago.

The men? kept their faces averted towards the floor. They were chanting sentences.

The scariest thing of all for her in this dream was that she was there and chanting the same sentences over and over. In her dream, she was even saying the words. She believes the words to be in Latin. The oddest thing of all is that she doesn't even know Latin. Yet in the dream, she was saying these words with the others.

She can't be sure, but she believes one of the words to be demon. When waking from this dream, she was shaken because it felt so real to her.

I personally don't have much knowledge of dream interpretation. So I am posting this here to see if anyone could shed light on this matter for her. Any ideas?

The Allagash Abduction - A true story of UFO abduction?

There are only two stories that I have heard about UFO abduction that really make me believe that there is more out there. The first one you can read about here.

When the show Unsolved Mysteries (with Robert Stack) aired, I watched many of them over the years. Every now and then, they would have a story concerning aliens and Ufo's.

I originally heard about the Allagash Abduction years ago on Unsolved Mysteries. The accounts of these four men had a ring of truth to it that I really couldn't ignore.

This event occurred in the The Allagash Wilderness Waterway. It's known to be one of the best areas to canoe it. Located in Northern Maine, it consists of 92 miles of rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes.

Really, it would be the perfect location for an alien abduction to take place.

August 1976 started the perfect vacation for four young men in their early twenties. The foursome included twin brothers Jack and Jim Weiner, Chuck Rak (friend), and Charlie Foltz (guide). They were really looking forward to a vacation in the wilderness consisting of camping and canoeing.

The first day of their vacation passed without incident. Not that the guys were expecting anything unusual. They just expected a relaxing time in the great outdoors.

On the second night, the guys noticed a strange light off in the distance. Thinking it was from a helicopter, or something similar, they really didn't think to much of it.

One night, the foursome decided to try some late night fishing. Before going out in the canoe, they decided to build an extremely large fire at their campsite. This was supposed to help lead them back.

While out on the lake, the men noticed a large flashing light in the distance. It is said that the object changed colors. The guide, Charlie Foltz, grabbed a flashlight and started flashing an SOS. Why? I can't imagine. They weren't in need of help. Me personally, I wouldn't have tried to draw attention to myself if I saw something like that.

From their accounts, a smaller light started making its way towards them. Chuck Rak appeared dazed, while the others started paddling back towards shore. The light moved faster then they could and covered them.

Here is the truly freaky part. The next thing the guys remember they are standing at the edge of the shoreline, staring at the craft. After several minutes, the craft goes up over the trees and disappears.

Without really speaking to each other, the guys fall immediately asleep. This is odd in itself, considering the strangeness they experienced. By reports, they felt overwhelmingly exhausted. Each man did notice that the huge fire they built was nothing more than ashes.

The guys really didn't talk about the event and life went back to normal. Until the nightmares started for Jack Weiner. It was not known at the time that the other guys were experiencing the same nightmares. In these dreams, they saw themselves being examined, poked, and prodded. Jack said that while he was being examined, he could see his friends but they appeared to be in a stupor. The tests were described as very painful. They were told if they cooperated they would live.

These men were put under hypnosis, among several other tests. They were found to be honest and truthful in their accounts.

I really believe that there is more out there then the general public knows. I say the general public, because I believe that certain members of the military know more then they are telling.

I can see why the government or military would keep this covered up. For one reason, if this is really happening, what can be done to stop it? Obviously, "aliens" are much more advanced then we are. There's no way to keep them from snatching us. They would want to keep it covered up without anyway to defend us. News like this would cause mass panic.

I really believe that the first proof of aliens for the government would have been the Roswell incident. If that is the case though, how were they so prepared for it? It's like they knew what to do when the events happened.

There were to many eyewitness accounts to make me believe that nothing happened. Something happened out there that day.

So it brings us to the question of why are they studying us? Is it a natural curiosity? Or something more sinister?

Recent Paranormal Romance Reads

Wow since I've been sick, I have actually had the time to read a lot.

A few weeks ago, I had purchased six paranormal romance books on a Ebay auction. I hadn't had the chance to really read them until the last two days.

For the first time, I read a book by Kathryn Smith, and I was really impressed. It was Book #1 in The Brotherhood of the Blood series. The title is Be Mine Tonight.

One of the things that I really liked about this book was that it was a historical paranormal romance. You really don't come by these to often. This book was released in 2006, so I've got some catching up to do. According to the website, there has been several more released since then.

Tonight, I got finished reading book 2 from the Dirk & Steele series. It's called Shadow Touch by Marjorie M. Liu.

This is actually the second book I have read by her. The first one was A Taste of Crimson - Book 2 in the Crimson City Series. It has been awhile since I read that one.

Shadow Touch wasn't a bad book at all, but I can't say it was one of my favorites. Maybe it's because I am under the weather. It was worth reading though. Basically, a man and woman escape from a secret underground facility that traps people with paranormal skill. It reminded me of a mix of The Island and X-Men.

I've also recently read Jacquelyn Frank's book Damien. This is book four in her Nightwalker series.

I've really enjoyed reading this series. There are a total of five books. I've now read all of them except for Elijah and Noah. I really hope Jacquelyn continues the series. Over the course of the books, she has introduced us to many characters. I'd love to see a story for them.

A Modern Day Native American Scary Story

When I was a child, I had a step-father that used to come up with the most wonderful horror, campfire type tales to tell. He is 100% Native American and the way he could weave a story was just amazing. Although the marriage didn't last, he went on to become a well - known Chairman of the Apache tribe in Oklahoma. To this day, I remember the patience he had with a four year old that just loved to hear stories of Bigfoot and the Abominable Snowman.

Twenty-five years (OMIGOD how did I get so old?) has passed so my memory of these stories are a little faded. But I am going to share one with you and see if we can figure out exactly what the legend is.

I can remember my step-father telling me of a bridge that was supposedly haunted. According to the legend, the land was once owned by an old woman. The county or government wanted to put a bridge across it. From what I can remember, the old woman died and cursed it. Her curse went along the lines of telling them if they built the bridge, that anybody that crossed it would die.

My step-father had many wonderful stories to tell with different scenerios. Sometimes, the people would be thrown over the bridge. Other times they disappeared. I have to say that no matter what version he was telling, it held interest.

One of the best ones I could remember was the tale of a guy that was in a bar. Basically though I wasn't told it was a bar, but as an adult I can guess that was what it was. As the story was told to me, he was with some buddies and they dared him to cross the bridge that night. He said that he would cross it and tie something on the other side.

The guy never did return. The next morning his friends went to look for him. Nothing was tied at the other end. The man was never seen again.

From what I remember, this bridge was remote. The road cut through fields. The bridge went over a river.

Now at the ripe old age of 29, I decided to do some research on this. I'm not finding any leads though. I'm guessing that this was supposed to be about a bridge in Oklahoma. Anybody have a clue?

The tale was so original and so detailed that it's hard to believe that this was something from his imagination. If it was, he missed his calling. He should have been a writer.

I guess that I am like many in my fascination for the Native American history. They were amazing story tellers, among many things.

I found out that the name of this bridge is Jeremiah's Bridge in Anadarko, OK. Apparently this bridge and the stories behind it are pretty well-known. Many people have paranormal stories to share about their experiences on Jeremiah's Bridge. Sounds like a very creepy place to be.

Aliens and UFO's.... Are you a believer?

I'm not really a UFO or Alien follower. Every now and then, I will see a show on tv and tune in for awhile. It's not something I spend a lot of time thinking about, one way or another.

I do enjoy reading supernatural romance books about them though:-) I've recently read Awaken Me Darkly and Enslave Me Sweetly by Gena Showalter. These books are related to love and aliens. There have been a few stories I have heard about UFO experiences that have made me wonder. Is it possible? I personally haven't been abducted by aliens. That doesn't mean that they aren't real though.

A lot of reported experiences have to do with being taken and experimented on. Wouldn't this make sense? If they are a form of beings that are way advanced, than wouldn't they want to use us as lab rats? Isn't that what we do to new species we find?

The story I'm about to share with you happened over 20 years ago. It is one of the most memorable I've heard. I can remember hearing about it the first time on a show called Unsolved Mysteries. Unsolved Mysteries was hosted by Robert Stack. It hasn't been on in quite awhile, so some of you know might not know what I am talking about. Some of you will though.

On December 29, 1980 Betty Cash, Vickie Landrum, and little Colby Landrum were heading back home. Earlier that evening, they had attempted to find an open Bingo game with no luck. They settled on dining out in New Caney, Texas.

After eating, they headed down Highway FM 1485. It was about 8:30 PM. This was a pretty isolated road in Texas.

30 minutes or so into the trip, Colby noticed bright lights in the sky. As they continued down the road, they noticed it grew larger. Directly, it almost landed on the road right in front of them. They had no choice but to stop the car.

According to reports, it would send down a large cone of fire. They got out of the car to see it better. When they were ready to get back in, they realized the car was painfully hot.

Vickie got back in the car, but Betty continued to stand outside the car. She was fixated on what was in front of her.

As the UFO started to leave, a large number of helicopters arrived. They followed the UFO as it took off.

As they continued on home, they did see the UFO and helicopters clearly in the sky.

When they arrived back, it was about 9:50 pm. Betty dropped Vickie and Colby off. Within a few hours, she started to turn red and blister. My morning, she was almost in a coma.

Betty was hospitalized for fifteen days. She lost her hair and was diagnosed with having skin cancer. All three were treated for radiation poisoning. During the first night, Vickie and Colby experienced symptoms of a sunburn. It was not as severe as Betty's.

Betty, Colby, and Vickie were not the only ones to see this. Others reported seeing the same things that night. Not to surprisingly, Major Geishauser's Official Statement was, "I don't know any other place around here that would have that number of helicopters," he said. "I don't know what it could be... unless there's a super secret thing going on and I wouldn't necessarily know about it." Yeah, he's basically denying all the helicopters in the sky.

Besides the other witnesses, the black top road had severe burns on it. These were fixed by the road department.

Betty Cash died 18 years to the day of the incident. This UFO encounter became known as the Piney Woods incident.

So this story seems one of the more credible ones to me. It really makes me wonder if there isn't something out there. If the helicopters hadn't come along, what would have happened to Betty, Vickie, and Colby?

National Geographic has a really good book called, Are We Alone? Scientists Search for Life in Space. I think there are many, many people that would like to know the answers to this.

The real question though, is would it make any difference? If there are aliens and they are more advanced, what could we do with that knowledge?

Gena Showalter - The Darkest Pleasure

To date, I've only read two of Gena Showalter's books. Not due to lack of interest though. I absolutely love them.

The first book I read by her was, "The Nymph King." It was great! I loved the thought of several hot, jaw-dropping guys walking out of the ocean at a wedding. It was a great book to read, and it kept me interested from beginning to end.

I was really excited to get book 3 from the Lords of the Underworld series. The Darkest Pleasure was the very first book from the series that I've had the chance to read. I wasn't sure what to expect when I opened the cover.

I have to say Gena is creative. The Lords of the Underworld are 6 immortal warriors in a remote fortress in Budapest. All of them are bound by a curse that nobody has broken. And each one of them has a demon inside of them.

This book was the story of Reyes. He has the demon of pain inside of him. While one of the other warriors is on a mission to kill a woman and the women in her family, Reyes is just as determined to keep her alive. In the process, he falls in love with her.

I know, who would have thought ten or twenty years ago that books like these would be so popular right?

So if you are looking for another paranormal romance series to get started on, consider Lords of the Underworld!

If you're like me, you probably had to study Edgar Allen Poe when you were in high school. He was a very mysterious person. Some would say he was strange.

The circumstances regarding Edgar's death have always been a mystery. Basically all that was known was that he was found outside on the street unconscious. Any records regarding his death have not been found.

The doctor that attended him changed his story constantly. Nobody was even sure what day he was brought to the hospital. What is known is that he died on October 7, 1849. The odd thing was Edgar was kept in a hospital room that had bars on the window. Nobody except the doctor was allowed to attend to him. He was allowed no visitors at all.

In the last few years, some doctors say they believe Edgar died from rabies. I personally think this is a stretch. Others believe that he died from alcoholism. There was a study done in 2006 that disproved he was poisoned by lead or mercury. They actually had a hair sample from him that they tested.

Edgar really had some haunting poems and stories published. Especially for someone that lived that long ago. The works that he created are nothing short of amazing for that day and age.

I think that one thing we do know for sure is that nobody is ever going to know for sure what caused his death.

True Blood DVD Release Date set!

I'm so excited to announce that True Blood Season 1 is going to be released on DVD!

For those of you that aren't familiar with True Blood, where have you been? It's got vampires, shape shifters, and lots of paranormal activity going on. All set in a small town in Louisiana.

The date set for the dvd release is May 12, 2009. HBO has the five disc set listed for $59.99 on their online store. It will contain all 12 episodes!

Season 2 of True Blood is in production. If you don't have HBO, you will be able to watch the first season before the second season is released. I can't wait.

Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon - My Thoughts

If any of you read my other blog, The Life of an Everyday BBW, you probably saw that I have been looking forward to reading Acheron for the entire year.

So when I went to the library yesterday and I saw a copy, I couldn't wait to get it home.

I'm about halfway through the book, and I have to say that Acheron was not what I was expecting.

Before I go into detail, I want to say that Sherrilyn Kenyon is an amazing writer. I've read just about all of her paranormal romances. I love the plots. She has a way with words that makes you feel like you are actually seeing the events unfold.

The first half of the book is very painful to read. I believe this is due to the amazing way she can make you feel like you are there seeing it. When I opened the cover, I expected it to be a book full of the paranormal, and a great story of Acheron falling in love. The first half of the book is in no way lighthearted.

Before part 1 begins, Sherrilyn has an author's note with some details about the writing of the book. She warns that she has pulled no punches about how she wrote Acheron's life. And she didn't. The first half of the book is very explicit about the childhood abuse he suffered. It was so explicit that I cried during reading it, and I really thought I wouldn't be able to get through the book.

In her note she says, "As a survivor of childhood abuse myself...." and talks about what it feels like. I don't know if this means she was abused herself as a child or someone she loved (like a sibling, etc) was the one that experienced childhood abuse. I will say that judging by how graphic the book is, I would say that only a person that actually survived sexual abuse could write it in the detail she has.

If you have read any of the Dark Hunter books, you know who Acheron is. He's the leader of the Dark Hunters. A kind and compassionate character that tries to do good in this world. The previous books have hinted at dark things that happened in his past. I never realized how horrible his character's childhood was going to be.

Acheron's life started June 23, 9548 BC. From his birth, he was abused without one person to care about him. He was sent to live with an uncle when he was 7 years old, and severely abused in all ways. It's a book you will have to read for yourself, as I don't want to give it away. Let's just say it was a life so horrible that even the most uncompassionate person in the world would have to burst into tears.

It's a book that I would have chose to not read because as many people, I prefer to not hear the horror stories about childhood abuse. In ancient times, childhood abuse was a daily life for many children, male and female. Thousands upon thousands of children had to go through events and actions that even an adult should never have to endure. Like I mentioned before, Sherrilyn caught about every detail of this in her character, Acheron.

Acheron after being sent to live with his uncle (around the age of 7) was tortured and abused sexually, physically, and mentally. I think the thing that made this so painful to read was the fact that it had a ring of truth to it. For thousands of years in other countries, this has been the life of many children. As a Christian and as a human being this is just horrid to me.

Many people don't realize that this is still happening in this day and age. I have to wonder if Sherrilyn wasn't attempting to heal herself and pass a reminder that childhood abuse still happens. It destroys lives of innocent children. As people, we need to always be on the watch for these things.

The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry reports that, "Child sexual abuse has been reported up to 80,000 times a year, but the number of unreported instances is far greater, because the children are afraid to tell anyone what has happened, and the legal procedure for validating an episode is difficult."

If you are a parent, you should really take the time to read their website. I really don't think any parent can afford to not take the time to be informed about this issue.

I'm still reading the book, and the second half seems to be a lot different. I will continue to read Sherrilyn Kenyon's books. Hopefully, the next ones will be more lighthearted and easy to read.

I just wanted to say that I have finished the book. The second half is wonderful! It more than gave the happy ending I was hoping that Ash would have. It was well worth the read, and if you are looking for a book that will captivate you, read it!

Land Between The Lakes - After Dark

Land Between The Lakes is located in Western Kentucky and Tennessee. It's basically a huge wildlife refuge, with nothing but forests and undeveloped shoreline. There aren't residential areas or businesses located in LBL.

Really, after dark LBL is spooky. You can go out there in a car, turn off the headlights, and you are in total darkness. You won't see any lights out there.

There have been many reports of things not in this world out there. There have also been reports of weird creatures and evil spirits.

There have been many reports of red eyes in LBL. There is a legend that if you see a group of white-tailed deer out there at night, to turn back. They are trying to warn you not to go any further because a demon is nearby.

I personally have seen the red eyes. About thirteen years ago, I went out to LBL with a friend. It was night, and we were just driving around. There's something about LBL that makes people want to do that for some reason. Anyhow, we went down one of the side roads that led to an empty area that people use as a campground. There was nobody else out there that night.

He got out of the car to find a tree, which I really though was a bad idea. Before getting out of the car, he turned off his headlights. You couldn't see anything outside the window. Even the moon was dark. He gets out and disappears into the night. While waiting, I looked around and in the distance I saw two red glowing eyes.

As I watched it, it started moving closer. Believe me, I was scared to death. I opened the door, and literally hollered for my friend. He came running, jumped in the car, and got going. When he hopped in, he glanced in the direction and saw exactly what I saw. It was a scary experience. The oddest thing? After turning on the lights, we didn't see anything at all that could have had the red eyes.

A few months later, I went out again to LBL with a group of friends. Once again, it was night. We were riding along, and I started feeling this overwhelming feeling that we needed to get out of there. As we kept driving along, I felt so spooked. The feeling just got stronger and stronger.

Finally, I mentioned something to my friends. Knowing the way that I am, they immediately turned around and we headed back towards the bridge. I cringe to know what would happen if we hadn't turned around.

The ironic thing is, before writing this post I did a search online. I came across a forum post from a lady that had a similar experience to mine. It really gave me the spooks to see that I'm not the only one.

Here is part of her post from the West Tennessee Ghost Hunters group;

"We continued our drive deep into Land Between the Lakes, searching for wildlife of any kind. As we drove, I started getting a very funny feeling, but kept it to myself. Little did I know, he was having the same feeling. At one point, he mentioned that the hair was raising on his arms and he felt that something wasn't right. "

Last but not least, is how Roderick Justin Ferrell used a structure in LBL as his vampire hotel. He made world news for his arrest after murdering the parents of his friend. He believed that he was a vampire and a leader of the vampire clan. Ferrell told people that he was a 500-year-old vampire named Vesago.

This clan used a structure in LBL, and called it the Vampire Hotel. The oddest thing about this was that I could find only one picture of this online. After the story broke, officials made every effort to make this place disappear. They closed the road, and the location is pretty much secret now. Some sources say it has been demolished.

LBL can be a spooky place. Should you ever find yourself in Western Kentucky, you might find it worth the trip to travel through it at night. You might end up having your own horror story to share.

Tara had such a rough start in life. Seeing how her mother treated her on the show is hard. It's amazing that her character has so much compassion.

This is a good picture. It's to bad that Renee got ahold of grandma. She would have been a great part of the entire show.

This is my favorite picture of Bill the Vampire. He's so handsome! (At least me and a million other women think so)

Eric (or is it Erik?) is supposed to be a thousand (or so) year old vampire that was once a Viking. Looking at him, you could really believe that's true. He looks like a Viking. They sure picked the right man for the right role here.

Just about everyone these days has heard about ' demon possession ', it was made a household name by the 1973 movie ' The Exorcist ', and again it has become popular after the 2005 movie ' The Exorcism Of Emily Rose '. To myself and thousands of others, we have known and believed in demon possession for a long time from another source, the Holy Bible. The Bible written in sections or books, some more than a couple thousand years ago, tells us all we need to know about demon possession and that it is a very real condition.
In this day and age, when you mention demons or demon possession, most folks laugh or joke about it. Do these same folks laugh and joke about the Holy Bible ? To laugh and joke about the belief of demons and demon possession, is the same as laughing and joking about the Holy Bible and the word of God. If you are a true Christian and you believe in the Holy Bible as being the divinely inspired word of God, then you should have no doubts about the existence of demons and demon possession.
What are demons ? Demons are supernatural beings with great power and knowledge, their knowledge comes from not just their high intelligence, but the fact that they have been alive since before the earth was created. They are often called or known as ' fallen angels ', in fact that is exactly what they are. When satan rebelled against God, he along with his followers, (1/3 rd of the angels of heaven), were cast out of the Third Heaven, where God's throne and the actual city or place called Heaven currently exists. These ex-angels, now called ' demons ', were banished forever from the 3rd heaven where they once worshipped God and his son Jesus. Now for thousands of years, they have been condemned to live in what is called heavens 1 and 2, this area encompasses the planet earth, the sky above it, the stars, planets and the solar systems beyond it.
Demons are usually invisible in their natural state to the human eye, but they can take on any solid form they wish, and then we can see them. Demons can appear as wips of what looks like smoke, lasting only a few seconds, or at other times they look like fleeting shadows, often seen out of the corners of the eyes. They can take on any shape they choose, even an animal, they can appear solid or transparent and ghost-like.
What does the Bible tell us about demons and some of their abilities:

Demons seem to desire a body to possess or use as a host, like a parasite. It could be that when they were cast down from Heaven that they were changed into another form, or they just have a strong desire to control and cause as much trouble to humans as they possibly can. In ' Mark 5:12 ', when Jesus was exorcising demons from a possessed man, the demons spoke to Jesus and begged him, saying: ' Send us among the herd of pigs; allow us to go into them '.
Demons have great strength. In ' Luke 8:29 ', a man was possessed by demons, and while possessed he was able to break chains easily, the demons also made the man want to dwell among graves and lonely places.
The demons are responsible for many of the diseases and illnesses that people have. In ' Luke 11:14 ' , a man that had been mute and unable to speak, became able to speak normaly when Jesus removed a demon from him.
What are some causes of demon possession ? Sin. yes, sin is the cause or thing that leads to someone being controlled and ultimately possessed by demonic forces:

Abuse - Some folks claim they were abused as children, and this has brought them under the control of demons.
Occult Activity - Reading and trying spells and other things in occult books.
Spirit communication - Using an ouija board, channeling, or automatic writing, is an open door to demon possession.
Astrology and Fortune Telling - Using ones horoscope or visiting a fortune teller to know the future is wrong according to the bible, clearly a warning that demonic forces are involved with it.
Music and Movies - Movies and music can be fun and inspirational, but most of the movies today are very sinful. Todays movies are full of such sinful things as sexual encounters that are out of marriage or with the same sex, cussing or using Jesus's name in vain, and there are numerous movies these days that show or try to let us think that dabbling with spells, sorcery and witchcraft are ok, when the Bible clearly says that any witchcraft or sorcery is wrong and can open the door to demon forces.
Sexual perversions - Pornography is very addicitve and often leads to more and more perverted sexual desires, such as same sex encounters and sex with animals which is growing more and more in todays perverted world, all of which is evil and wrong according to the Bible and Jesus. Demons can use these filthy and perverted desires to weaken our wills and mental states, until we allow them to enter us, and possess us.
There are many other activites and things that can ultimately lead to someone becoming possessed and controlled by demon forces, but the main cause is sin.
There are a lot of folks that say demon possession is just symptoms of either a mental illness or some other medical condition, or sickness. This can be true at times when the person does have a medical problem, but in a true case of demon possession, there will be signs or activity that NO sickness or disease can manifest, such as:

Knowledge of future events and hidden things - Demon possessed people have been known to gain a sudden knowledge about things that was never shared with others, or to even reveal future events that come true.
Superhuman strength - Possessed individuals have been known to break ropes, chains and other restraints with ease, and it often takes up to 4 full grown men to hold a demon possessed child down.
Speaking in unknown or strange languages - Demon possessed inviduals who have no prior knowledge of foreign languages have been known to start taking fluently in strange languages or foreign tongues, such as Aramaic, Latin and other languages.
Levitation and Psychic Powers - Demon possessed individuals have been known to levitate and hover in the air in front of other witnesses, or cause objects in the room to move by themselves.
Smells - Often in the presence of a demon possessed individual the surrounding air will become so horriblly smelling that folks will get sick, the smell has been described as the smell of cancer or death, or even sulphur.
Reaction to Holy relics or sacred items - Demon possessed individuals have been known to fear or even react violently to crosses, bible reading, holy water or other sacred relics and symbols. In one case of demon possession in pennsylvania in the early 1980s a young man, who was possessed had his head covered with a sack, so he could not see. He held his hands behind his back and a few different items were placed in his hands, when a cross was dropped into his hand, it burned his skin and became hot to others that touched it.
The best way to avoid demon activity and possession in your life is to avoid sin as much as possible. Read your bible as often as you can, go to a nice bible believing church, and most importantly, accept Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour, repent of your sins, and try not to sin like you did before your conversion.

Thanksgiving Praying

Last night, I purposely had a very late night.

With Thanksgiving coming the next day, I wanted to wait until everything was very peaceful and quiet before offering the Lord a heartfelt prayer of thanks for the wonderful things he has done for me this year, and really my whole life.

The average person looking at me wouldn't think I have a super amazing life. There is really nothing extraordinary that they can see. But they don't know my heart.

I am so thankful for the gifts that the Lord has given me. My children and my faith. I've seen many miracles in my life in the last few years, since finding my faith again. God has watched out and provided for me and my little family in ways that really couldn't have happened without his aid. We have our health and happiness. Who could ask for more?

It seemed while I was in this time of prayer though I had several random interruptions. As a Christian, I have to wonder if Satan doesn't do everything in his power to interrupt times of prayer.

I did a search on this, and I came across a really great link here. It would seem that Satan does indeed hate prayer, and he hinders us by keeping us from praying correctly. This tells me I need to pray and keep praying. God is God, and he can overcome any evil.

I'd like to end this with this wonderful prayer of Thanksgiving;

O God of all Creation: You have cared for the earth, and have filled it with your riches. Abundance flows in your steppes, through the pastures and wilderness. You provide for our land, softening it with showers, bathing it in light, and blessing it with growth.

The hills sing with joy; the meadows are covered with flocks; the fields deck themselves with wheat; and together they glorify your name!

On this occasion of our Thanksgiving, we as a nation take rest from our labors to consider your many blessings. We thank you for our freedoms, and for the opportunity to contribute our skills, our attributes and our values toward the good of society.

We thank you for the mixture of our cultures, blending us into one people under God. Help us to be a light unto other nations, and to further the cause of freedom and justice all over the world.

We remember those who are less fortunate than we. We lift up in prayer the victims of poverty and racism, and all those who suffer from forms of political and economic oppression. Let the word that goes forth from our mouths speak of your peace, and let us proclaim our hope in Christ as Savior of all humankind.

We pray that you will bless all those who gather here, as we have come to experience your presence among us. Give us your guidance, O God, and empower us for your work. For we claim nothing for ourselves, but return all honor and glory unto you, and offer our thanks and praise. Amen.

I found this article, and I really have conflicting thoughts about it. So, I wanted to post it here and see what your opinion is about it.

Leading UFO Researchers Confirm Christian View

A general consensus has emerged among serious, science oriented UFO researchers that a certain small percentage of UFOs are real and are not figments of anyone's imagination. Furthermore, it is well known that many individuals claim to receive messages from alleged extra-terrestials aboard UFOs.

The messages received from UFOs are generally occultic and steer people away from belief in Christian doctrine. Extra-terrestials tend to undermine or attack the Christian faith.

Christian scholars and researchers have responded to this attack. In this article I will show that leading UFO researchers, many of whom are agnostic, have come around to generally support the Christian position on UFO phenomena.

After all the UFO sightings have been carefully analyzed and most explained away as natural phenomena the remaining UFOs, called residual UFOs (RUFOs) are regarded as real. They are real yet the leading researchers say they are not metallic spacecraft from distant stars or planets.

Astronomers who have devoted their careers to studying UFOs point to the fact that UFO flight patterns defy the laws of physics such as turning and accelerating so fast that any metal spaceship would disintegrate even if the metal spaceship was a solid iron ball. Furthermore, UFOs are seen in the atmosphere and not observed coming in from outer space.

UFO sightings have been reported throughout history. Ancient literature describes 'aerial people' and 'cloud ships' in terms that correspond to modern UFO sightings. In 1691 a Scottish minister wrote a book describing how Scottish farmers were harassed by paranormal entities similar to the UFOs of our time.

All of us are aware of the many UFO cults that have sprung up. There have even been television specials devoted to UFO phenomena.

Francis Crick, Nobel prize winning co-discoverer of DNA, calculated the probability of proteins forming by random collisions of atoms in the primordial ooze. Crick found it so remotely improbable that proteins and other building blocks of life could form by chance on earth that he decided that aliens from outer space must have brought life to earth.

Crick's theory that claims that aliens brought life to earth is called the "Guided Panspermia Theory" of life origins. This new theory of life origins gave momentum to UFO research.

Close encounters of the fourth kind are when people (almost invariably occultists and New Agers) are actually abducted and communicate with the aliens. The aliens generally give messages with deep religious impact that steer people away from Christianity.

Let's consider the following quote: "For example, 'The Urantia Book,' a tome supposedly communicated to humans by spirit dictation from 'superuniverse rulers,' spends the first two-thirds of its 2,097 pages describing a 'universe of universes' that is not subject to space and time"

The quote continues: "The last third of this UFO bible denies the full deity of Jesus Christ and humanity's need for salvation from its sinful condition." (Quoted from Lights in the Sky and Little Green Men: A Rational Christian Look at UFOs and Extraterrestials by Ross, Samples and Clark p. 122.)

It seems plain from the above quote and from abundant other evidence that the aliens oppose Christian doctrine. This leads me to believe that the aliens are actually demons.

It is also very interesting and revealing to note that many of the best UFO researchers seem to be coming around to a view that undergirds and supports the Christian view that demons are involved.

Astronomer J. Alan Hynek and the late French physicist Jacques Vallee are perhaps the most respected UFO researchers in the world. Both are agnostics. No one can consider them Christians with a theological ax to grind.

Both men have made what I consider to be very bold statements that clearly undergird the Christian position that spiritual entities are behind UFO phenomena. For example, Hynek said that UFOs cause physical effects "in the same way that a poltergeist can produce very real physical effects."

Vallee said "The UFO phenomenon represents evidence for other dimensions beyond spacetime . . . It is a spiritual system that acts on humans and uses humans."

There are many other quotes I could cite. Vallee was the leading proponent of the Interdimensional Hypothesis which is the view that UFOs come from another dimension (Christians like me would say the other dimension is the dimension of spirit) and not from interstellar travel.

Many prominent born-again Christian scholars such as David Allen Lewis have done research on UFO phenomena. It seems clear to them that demons are using UFOs to deceive millions and prepare them to embrace an occultic, 'New Age' type of faith.

Some say that UFOs and the teachings that proceed from them are preparing the world to receive the coming antichrist.

I will close this article by mentioning the fact that there have been documented cases of close encounters of the fourth kind, which are abductions of people by UFOs, that have actually been stopped when the people involved called out the name of Jesus. In other words the people appealed to the atoning work of Christ who died for our sins.

When they cried out to Jesus the demons attempting the abduction ceased their activity. The demons fear the power of Christ and must submit to the power of Christ because Christ is the Son of God. I just got finished watching the season finale of True Blood. One word - AWESOME!

Last week (season 11), I was a little disappointed with the show. I can say that this one more than made up for it. Rene was really the killer. Not to mention, addicted to porn it would seem. Arlene caught her kids watching them.

Bill survives his sun exposure. After Bill returns to Sookie, my first thought was that Bill had fed on Lafayette. I believe the real truth is, Bill's new vamp must have done it.

The end was great. It really leaves me wanting to watch more True Blood. So HBO, get to work! I really don't want to have to wait until next summer to catch some new episodes of True Blood.

Might I say too, if you need some extra's on the set of True Blood, I'd love to participate!

True Blood Season Finale Tonight on HBO

Tonight is the season finale of True Blood. I am so bummed. It was a great show, but I just wish it would have lasted longer.

At least True Blood fans don't have to worry about it being the last. It's been confirmed that there will be a season 2. It will probably be released summer of 2009.

Episode 12 is titled, "You'll be the Death of Me." Currently, Jason is in jail for the supposed murder of his girlfriend. Tara was bailed out of jail by a mysterious social worker. Sookie has been attacked by a murderer and Sam is her protector. Her and Bill had a falling out after he and Sam had a fight. It's going to be interesting to see how they wrap it up.

The Truth About Modern Day Vampires

Stephanie Meyer's Twilight Series. Vampire: the Masquerade. History channel documentaries about "real vampires." It seems literary vampires are more popular than ever, and there are more real vampires walking among us than most "normals" ever realized. They are coming out of the woodwork in greater numbers with every passing year - becoming more vocal on the internet, making TV appearances in documentaries, forming houses, holding conventions, and steadily increasing visibility as a community. The vampire subculture is experiencing a revitalization similar to that which Wiccans and the gay community have experienced in past decades. But who and what exactly are the vampires who walk among us?

Modern day vampires are a form of Otherkin. "Otherkin" is a blanket term for a variety of people including many who feel they have a non-human spirit in a human body. Otherkin include vampires and other vampiric beings; therians, which are were-beings like werewolves and were-leopards; faery-kin; angel-kin; dragon-kin; and many other varieties. Vampires are not to be confused with Goths. "Goth" is an artistic movement encompassing a "dark" aesthetic. Some, but not all, vampires are Goths. Some, but not all, Goths are vampires.

The vampire subculture encompasses many varieties of vampiric beings. The major delineations are: sanguine vampires, who consume life energy by consuming small amounts of blood; psy vampires, who primarily draw on psychic, emotional, or magickal energy; sexual vampires, which include incubi, succubi, and leannan sidhe (an Irish faery version of a vampire, succubus, and muse all in one); and of course, the donors, who are sometimes vampiric themselves, but often suffer from the opposite condition, having an overload of energy that they are constantly trying to siphon off.

Vampires are not simply playing a Live Role Playing Game (LARP or RPG) such as Vampire: the Masquerade; nor are they merely people who like to dress up in costume. Such individuals are called "vampire lifestylers." Lifestylers do not have a physical need for blood or energy to maintain health and well-being, they just enjoy the vampire mystique. There is also a basic difference between vampires, who need energy from an outside source, particularly human, and those who are vampiric, who can take energy from other sources but don't necessarily need it to survive and stay healthy.

Vampires may suffer from an energy deficiency for several reasons: they may be unable to access the natural, ambient, or universal energy that others have access to without thinking; they may be unable to "digest" or utilize that energy fully, like being unable to make the most of a particular vitamin; or they may naturally expend energy at a faster rate than they can take it in. This tends to be the case particularly with powerful magick users, who find themselves drained and needing to recharge after a big, sudden, or unexpected expenditure of magickal energy.

People who self-identify as vampires do so because they are conscious of what they are, and the vast majority of these choose to live by a set of rules and ethical standards designed to ensure their well-being and that of those around them. One of the best known codified versions of such a set of rules is The Black Veil.[1] Others are in the process of "awakening" or discovering what they are, which usually means taking some time to realize and acknowledge their vampiric tendencies so they can control them properly.

Most vampires are capable of harmless "ambient" feeding, drawing on the excess energy that floats around the room in large crowds of people, who naturally emanate such energy. Others "surface feed," drawing lightly from several different individuals in a social setting (though many vampires frown on this being done without the individuals' consent). The most intimate form of feeding is one-on-one feeding from a donor, and this must always be a consensual relationship. Deliberately targeting someone to feed from them without their consent is considered worse than rape by most in the vampire community, and one reason for this is the incredible intimacy of such a psychic connection and energy exchange. Donors often experience a kind of euphoria from sharing energy during a feeding, and many vampires are adept at refining the energy they take in, circulating it through their system, and feeding some of it back to their donor through their connection. Vampires are often donors for each other, especially when each is capable of taking in and using one particular kind of energy that their partner can offer, and easily outputting another, that their partner needs.

Jacquelyn Frank's "Jacob"

A few weeks ago I was shopping at Big Lots. I always take the time to check out their book selections. I've actually picked up a few Amanda Ashley paranormal romances there.

I saw this book, and it was so cheap that I decided to buy it. This was the first book I've read by Jacquelyn Frank.

I LOVED it! When I went back to Big Lots last night, I was hoping I would find more of the "Nightwalker" series, but I wasn't that lucky. After I'm done with this, I will be surfing over to Ebay to see what I can find.

This series was great. All paranormal romances seem to have the dream man, but this one went above and beyond! It had a really good plot to.

Basically, Jacob is the enforcer for the demon race. When a demon is summoned and turns, he has to hunt them down and destroy them. While on the hunt, a woman falls out of her window and he catches her. There is a rule that demons can't consort with humans. She manages to kill the "turned" demon and they realize she is just more than a simple human. Eventually it comes to light that she is half-druid. The book really has some great twists to it. Not to mention, it's very graphic.

Something I found unusual was that Jacquelyn decided to give the main demon characters names from people in the bible. In her book though, demons really aren't evil. Obviously, this is a work of fiction.

It was a great book. After reading it, I got online and found out it was the first book in the series. Since then, several more have been released. So I can't wait to get all of them.

Next time you are at your local Big Lots, check out their book selection. You never know what kind of great reads you will get a very cheap price.

I really don't put much stock into horoscopes. I will say though that my zodiac sign seems to fit me pretty well. If your birth date falls into the "Cancer" category, you might enjoy reading this.

Demons and Evil - Yes, they are real

Generally, a demon is defined as an evil spirit. This definition is really not broad enough to describe the destruction that comes from evil.

We live in a society that is not as religious as it once was. Due to this, many are content to downplay good and evil. Both are out there though, working in ways that we can't see with our human eyes. I think one of the scariest things our society can do is doubt that there is true evil out there, many times in the form of demons.

As a Christian, I fully believe that there is a heaven and hell. I also fully believe that there are angels and demons. There are many that doubt this though because we don't see them. The truth is though, we weren't intended to see them unless they were meant to be revealed to us.

There are really many arguments I have to support this. Below are a few.

In the bible, you will see something like the following; "Do not forget to entertain strangers. For it might well be an angel in disguise ." It talks about different angels that were seen by humans. Doesn't it go to say that if angels can take a human form, so can't demons?

How many dangerous and violent criminals have talked about not remembering the crimes they committed or feeling like they weren't in control of themselves when it happened? Do you ever wonder how many times you might have seen someone on a busy street and maybe one of them were an angel or demon? As a Christian, I feel like this is a very real possibility.

To this day, the Catholic Church performs a number of exorcisms each year. The bible talks about demons possessing people back in the day of Jesus. I don't see how anyone could read the Book of Job and doubt that there is a Satan.

Even though many people doubt Heaven and Hell, good and evil, this doesn't make it go away.

Not to long ago I was reading the bible and I came across a verse that basically said that God talks to our subconsciousness when we are sleeping. That isn't word for word, but it was basically the meaning. This makes sense to me. Our subconscious mind is the easiest way to pass information. It's also the most vulnerable. Maybe this is why many religious leaders advise against hypnosis. It's been said when you are under hypnosis, you are very vulnerable to demonic contact.

Evil really is all around us. All you have to do is open a newspaper or turn on the tv to see this. We have to realize as humans we are not God-like. Therefore, we aren't going to see the things that go on "behind the scenes", so to speak. It's been said that angels fight for us constantly. We aren't going to see this because God doesn't want us to see it. That doesn't mean it's not there and it's not going on.
